2023 was TRULY a wild year. We knew it would be a big year when we were prepping for Maddy’s arrival, but little did we know how crazy of a year it would really be. It definitely was not the easiest year, but it will forever be one of my favorite years because it’s the year I became mom to Maddy. God grew and stretched me in ways I could never imagine, but I’m ending 2023 more grateful than ever and ready for (hopefully) a quieter year but still a year with so much to look forward to.
I tried my best to compile 2023 into 10 photos for instagram but I really couldn’t! So here’s a 3 minute long video I made from the first seconds of 2023 to the last seconds.
So to sum up 2023, I’m so thankful for…
- MADDY!!! I am so thankful that in all this world, God picked me to be her mom. I hope to never take this for granted.
- TIMOTHY!!! Leading up to Maddy’s birth, I cried several times thinking that our marriage would change completely post child. Our marriage has changed, but it has also strengthened! I am so lucky to have Tim as my partner in this life. I’ll write a blog post in the future about things I was scared about pre-baby and how our marriage looks now post-baby.
- OUR FAMILIES!!! Both my family and Tim’s family have truly been a grounding force this past year. They have given us so much time, so many date nights, and they have made our transition from a family of 2 to 3 much easier. We are most thankful for the prayers that they pour into us daily and we could not do this without them!
- OUR FRIENDS/VILLAGE!!! Honestly whenever I think about our friends and the support we have around us, I feel a little emotional because of how grateful I am. I could have never imagined feeling so at home with the best of friends. So thank you to everyone who has reached out to us, who love us, who bring smiles to us endlessly and who are down to do crazy nerdy things like murder mystery parties every year. haha
There ar many more things I’m thankful for, but I want to highlight these four.
